A highly profitable Medical Device company in the Bay Area is developing disruptive medical devices in the cardiovascular space and adding new marketing professionals to their global team. Their coronary portfolio has multiple launches pending in the next 5 years. They are looking for a marketer to lead launches for the next generation product and own brand planning for a $2B+ global family of products. This new role will have a significant impact on the long-term success of the organization and will require significant leadership and routine interaction with the executive team. The Opportunity:

In this role, the Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing new product launches for new therapies used in the cath lab to treat coronary vascular disease. You’ll focus on global marketing, leading new product launches including positioning, segmentation, forecasting and developing go-to-market strategy. You’ll work closely with country-manager counterparts around the world to identify and assess market opportunities and create marketing plans. This role also focuses on brand planning across the multiple families of this flagship product; you’ll own the brand planning and partner closely with marcom and digital marketing counterparts to create branding that will drive product sales.

There are large strategic, branding and project management components to the role, and excellent communication skills are required, including written, oral and presentation skills. They are organized in a matrix structure and you will serve as the commercial leader on cross-functional teams with colleagues from product development, sales, finance, regulatory, operations and medical affairs. Their rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of total industry experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare
• 3+ years of branding or global downstream marketing experience
• Evidence of successful product launch experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree or better is required; as is an MBA or similar advanced degree
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to help set a vision for the future of the marketing organization

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area (South Bay). Financial assistance is available for relocation support.
